Thoughts and a Photo
I’ve noticed a trend this year - at least amongst some of the blogs I follow. The trend is to NOT set any New Years Resolutions. I like this idea very much because I always set high and lofty expectations for myself and then a week into the new year I feel like a failure because I’ve not kept up with them. Instead of setting goals for each day, I’m setting long term goals that I can keep up with.
One of my goals for this year is to take a photo each day of something significant (or even insignificant) that’s gone on that day. Most of these pictures will probably be of Landon, because I’m with him most of the day, but I’m hoping to capture some great moments with friends/family, etc. I know I’ll miss some days and I’m ok with that.
So, on to today’s photo. Landon & I ran some errands this morning. Landon is at a “weird” stage in his clothing right now. He still has the baby chubs, but he’s getting taller, so he needs the length of the 2T pants/jeans, but the stretch of the 24 month pants. As a result, some of his jeans are a little tight on his belly (I frequently tell him to “Suck it up”). When we get home from being out and about, I change him into “comfy pants” - sweat pants, track pants, whatever you call them, they are comfy and not tight on his belly. For Christmas, my in-laws gave Landon a flannel shirt. He looked so cute in the flannel shirt & his jeans but he was ready to be in his comfy pants when we got home. My in-laws also gave Landon a pair of Toy Story 3 slippers for Christmas. So, comfy pants & slippers on (along with the flannel shirt) & my cute little boy looks like a cute little old man. But, he’s the cutest little old young man I’ve ever seen!
