Mommyhood Adventures

These are the cool glasses that Landon picked out of the prize container. He also got: 4 Thomas stickers (2 are on his sleeves), a new toothbrush, a sand timer (for brushing his teeth), some flossers and a yellow smiley face balloon. He had the option of eating some ice cream at the office, but he was NOT in the mood. He wanted his Paci & to get the heck out of there ASAP!
I hope his next appointment goes a little better. We did all we could to prepare him for his appointment, but no matter how fun you make it, that little toothbrush is just NOT the same!

Starbucks & Woody - two favorites around our house. Apparently his milk was too cold, so we gave him the Starbucks sleeve from Nathan’s drink the night before. Does this count as “Upcycling” or “Reusing?”

A few photos from out in the snow yesterday!

Landon found his Bumbo in the closet this morning & he’s had a wonderful time sitting in it today. Nathan took these pictures of Landon while he was at home on his lunch break. Landon, of course, wouldn’t smile for the pictures, so I’ve uploaded three of them so you can get the general gist of how happy this Bumbo made him today!

Thoughts and a Photo

I’ve noticed a trend this year - at  least amongst some of the blogs I follow. The trend is to NOT set any New Years Resolutions. I like this idea very much because I always set high and lofty expectations for myself and then a week into the new year I feel like a failure because I’ve not kept up with them. Instead of setting goals for each day, I’m setting long term goals that I can keep up with.

One of my goals for this year is to take a photo each day of something significant (or even insignificant) that’s gone on that day. Most of these pictures will probably be of Landon, because I’m with him most of the day, but I’m hoping to capture some great moments with friends/family, etc. I know I’ll miss some days and I’m ok with that.

So, on to today’s photo. Landon & I ran some errands this morning. Landon is at a “weird” stage in his clothing right now. He still has the baby chubs, but he’s getting taller, so he needs the length of the 2T pants/jeans, but the stretch of the 24 month pants. As a result, some of his jeans are a little tight on his belly (I frequently tell him to “Suck it up”). When we get home from being out and about, I change him into “comfy pants” - sweat pants, track pants, whatever you call them, they are comfy and not tight on his belly. For Christmas, my in-laws gave Landon a flannel shirt. He looked so cute in the flannel shirt & his jeans but he was ready to be in his comfy pants when we got home. My in-laws also gave Landon a pair of Toy Story 3 slippers for Christmas. So, comfy pants & slippers on (along with the flannel shirt) & my cute little boy looks like a cute little old man. But, he’s the cutest little old young man I’ve ever seen!

Our family’s handprint wreath. Landon’s handprints are the wreath, my hands are the “top” of the bow & Nathan’s fingers are the “bottom” of the bow.

Landon - wearing Daddy’s old hat & looking so cute!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Yesterday, we met up with some friends at the park (Jodee, Mason & Kyra) for a wonderful time of swinging, running, sliding and just having a great time together. I took my camera along so I could get some pictures. I know that Landon tends to make this face some, but I noticed in every single one of his swinging pictures that he makes THIS face! It’s really kind of funny to me. I have a smile that Nathan calls my “gummy” smile. I show lots of gum - it’s not intentional, just something I do when I “Smile Big”. Maybe this is Landon’s version of a Gummy Smile? Regardless, this is my 10am Snapshots of Life photo. ; )
